To produce the best grapes, the best land is necessary, Celler Sangenís and Vaqué have it. A permeable slate land, oriented to the South and with the influence of the sea breeze. The winery is located in the charming town of Porrera, it is here that we will enjoy a guided tour of its facilities and see the entire process of making, raising and aging its wine.
You will spend the night at Mas Ardèvol, a farmhouse with history, specializing in traditional Priorat cuisine. An ideal place to enjoy wine tourism and live the experience of tasting the region’s wines and oils.
At dinner time, sit at the table in the Ardèvol farmhouse itself. This one is characterized by having a kitchen of prioratine recipes based on seasonal foods. The farm garden and other Km0 gardens are the main source of the vegetables, flowers and herbs with which the dishes are prepared in order to guarantee fresh and top quality products.
The wine that will accompany the dinner (either white or red), as it could not be otherwise, is made at Celler Sangenís i Vaqué:
- Lo Bancal de Garnatxa 2015 is an aged red wine, 100% black Garnatxa and from the Cometa vineyard, a 25-year-old vineyard. The wine has been in barrel for 6 months.
- Lo Coster blanc 2015 is an aged white wine. This one is 50% white Grenache and 50% Macabeo. In this case, the grapes come from vines that are more than 40 years old. The wine has been in new French oak barrels for 4 months.
